Mark Price to be named Orlando Magic Player Development and Shooting Coach
Mark Price is coming back to Orlando! Fans rejoice! Price who played with the Magic in his 12th and final NBA season in 1998, has been reportedly named as the new Player Development and Shooting Coach for the Magic. The Cleveland Plain Dealer had the first report.
Josh Robbins of the Sentinel would later receive a confirmation from the Magic that Price has indeed been hired. The hope is that Price, an all-time great free throw shooter, can help the shoddy shooting that Orlando displayed from the charity stripe last season. Price is tied with Steve Nash for first all-time for career free throw shooting making 90.4% throughout his playing days.
Last season Price held a similar position working with the Golden State Warriors and has primarily been a shooting consultant and tv analyst since his playing days ended with the Magic. Solid hire.
