With Bogut and Gooden out, Leuer and Ilyasova win the “Defend Dwight Howard” sweepstakes
According to Charles F. Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel , Bucks Coach Scott Skiles has announced that Drew Gooden will miss Friday’s game against the Orlando Magic and that Luc Mbah a Moute will come off the bench. Wisconsin golden boy Jon Leuer will be starting aside Ersan Ilyasova as they try to defend Dwight Howard.
You read correctly, the 6’10” 235 pound Ersan Ilyasova or similar sized rookie Jon Leuer will get the “opportunity” to defend Dwight Howard most of the night.
Andrew Bogut remains out with an ankle injury that will likely keep him out for the season and Drew Gooden has a right wrist injury.
It will certainly be a tough task tonight for the Bucks to earn their first victory in Orlando in 7 years and should be another big night for the Magic. If/when Milwaukee is forced to double team Howard, it will undoubtedly open up looks for the red-hot three point shooting of Jason Richardson and Ryan Anderson. SPLASH!Powered by Sidelines
