Hedo Turkoglu Sidelined for 3 Weeks – RUH ROH!

2012 April 7
by Brian Serra

Magic forward Hedo Turkoglu is expected to undergo surgery today to repair facial fractures and will be out at least three weeks, per General Manager Otis Smith via OrlandoMagic.com.

With the Magic literally falling apart here at the end of the season, losing the starting SF and a key cog in the offensive flow is just another “well, damn” that has come along this season. If Hedo does indeed miss just 3 weeks, then he would be ready to come back just in time for the start of the playoffs.

The team is already facing a tough first round playoff match-up, and with Turk out and Ryan Anderson still nursing a sprained right ankle, it could get much tougher if the Magic somehow slip form their current 6th seeded Indiana match-up  down to the 7th seed and a battle with the Miami Heat.

Could it be two consecutive one and done’s for the Magic? No matter what your feelings are regarding Hedo Turkoglu’s play this season, the reality is that this team cannot succeed without Turk contributing on the floor.
