Could Dwight Howard sit out next season?
Imagine a scenario where you aren’t freed from the Dwight Howard drama… Imagine the worst case scenario related to Dwight Howard outside of him being traded to the Brooklyn Nets… Does that scenario involve the Dwight Howard saga looming over the franchise for an entire season? Without getting the benefit of him at least playing games? Well it should. And the possibility of it happening is real.
Jordan Schultz of the Huffington Post, is reporting that if Dwight is not traded that he is “fully prepared” to sit out the 2012-2013 season in Orlando.
A source close to Dwight Howard tells me that Dwight is fully prepared to sit out the entire 2012-13 season in Orlando.

If it were me, I would probably change the words “fully prepared” to “considering”, but I also am not hte one reporting it. I just highly doubt that Dwight is in a place mentally that he would be ready to make a statement to those near to him that is quite so definitive. It does not suprise me however that he is considering such a move. It’s petty and absolutely silly, but does not surprise me.
For those not familiar with Schultz’s work, he has broken several stories over the last few weeks including Ray Allen to Miami as well as the Marcus Camby to New York trade.Powered by Sidelines
