Thursday marked the 20th straight year that Magic players, coaches, and staff provided the Orlando community with their volunteer services at the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida. Team members such as Jameer Nelson, Maurice Harkless, and Glen Davis happily dished out Thanksgiving breakfast as well as helping to host a carnival for the children. More than 800 people enjoyed breakfast, had some fun playing games, and got to take pictures with Coach Jacque Vaughn and company.

Magic CEO Alex Martins: “To give up part of our mornings on Thanksgiving is nothing compared to what a lot of these people are going through. Not being able to go home like the rest of us and have Thanksgiving dinner with their families has to be difficult. It’s just a small contribution to give back to a community that has given so much to us. We just want to make this morning a little brighter for those who are homeless.”

No word yet on whether Big Baby was feeling any ill effects from tearing into some dry turkey leg on Wednesday night. Andrew Nicholson got a taste of some victory bird as well after the Detroit win, and he seemed thrilled to have the chance to celebrate Thanksgiving more than once.
