2013 February 10
by Adam Papageorgiou

Oh happy days are back again in Orlando. You know it’s a spectacular night when the media can drag Gustavo Ayon into shooting a clip in Spanish. It’s been a long time coming for this Magic team, but relief was finally acquired and now Orlando can savor the sweet taste of victory for at least a few days.

J.J. Redick: “I think it was a very consistent game for us in terms of our energy level from start to finish. The way we played offensively, the way we shared the ball. Did enough defensively to win.”

Arron Afflalo: “I’m always a big picture guy…you’ve got to think in the grand scheme of things. It’s one game. Individually you can be as competitive as you want to be, but basketball is always going to be a team sport.”

Jameer Nelson: “I’m not chasing stats; I’d rather win than anything. If I have to go 4-for-18 for us to win, I’ll do it every night.”

Gustavo Ayon [Translated]: “There’s still a lot of the season left. And we have to keep winning games like this so we can keep positive.”

Nikola Vucevic: “We needed one bad. We’ve lost a lot games that were very close and a lot of tough ones.”
