2013 March 15

russ

After being defeated by the Los Angeles Lakers in Dwight Howard’s return to Orlando, it won’t get any easier for the 18-47 Magic. In fact, it will get much more difficult. The Magic will start a four-game road trip, all against probable playoff teams, by squaring off with the Thunder in Oklahoma City Friday night. The Thunder have won six of their last seven games and are 48-17 overall.

This is the first meeting between the two teams. They’ll see each other again one week from today in Orlando.

The Magic rank 25th in offensive rating (99.6), 26th in defensive rating (106.5) and play at the league’s 17th-fastest pace (94.04). The Thunder are first in offensive rating (110.6), sixth in defensive rating (99.5) and play at the league’s eighth-fastest pace (96.19).

Tip-off from the Chesapeake Energy Arena, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma is scheduled for 8:00 pm EST and will be shown locally on FS Florida.

As always, if you can’t watch the game, you can listen on the radio – in English on AM 580 WDBO and FM 96.5 and in Spanish on AM 1270 WRLZ.

The officials for tonight’s game are Tony Brothers, Mark Ayotte and Dick Bavetta.
