Magic Considering Nine Players With The Second Pick?

2013 June 5

oladipo According to Chad Ford of ESPN (Insider), the Orlando Magic are considering nine players with the second overall pick. Ford, citing sources says the Magic are “wide open.”

Of course who the Magic select depends on what the Cleveland Cavaliers decide to do with the top pick.  Most believe the Cavaliers will go with Kentucky center Nerlens Noel. Ford mentions they could opt to pick Maryland center Alex Len or Georgetown forward Otto Porter, Jr.

Ford projected the Magic to select Michigan point guard Trey Burke in his last mock draft, but says he’s hearing “ the Magic aren’t sold on him as the second-best player in the draft.” He has since switched the pick to Indiana wing Victor Oladipo (pictured right).

Ford continues to hear the Magic are chasing another young point guard like Eric Bledsoe of the Los Angeles Clippers. That would pave the way for the Magic to select Oladipo or Kansas guard Ben McLemore.
