Former UCF star Jermaine Taylor to play for Cleveland Cavaliers in Vegas Summer League
It’s been an adventurous two years for former UCF great Jermaine Taylor since he was waived by the Sacramento Kings. He’s bounced from the D-League, to Spain, to Israel, to China and then back to the D-League where he put up league leading numbers in just eight games. This summer, Taylor will once again attempt to make his NBA return as Jermaine Taylor has informed Magic Basketball Online that he will be a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers Summer League team when they compete in the Vegas Summer League.
Jermaine played with the Chicago Bulls last summer before spending training camp last year with the Minnesota Timberwolves. He was cut from the T-Wolves on October 19th. He played in just five games in China averaging 17 ppg before heading to the Maine Red Claws and taking over. Despite playing in just 10 total games, JT scored 29+ in six of those contests – including a 49 point outburst – and propelled up to the number four spot in the NBDL Prospect Watch.
Jermaine was originally drafted 32nd overall by the Washington Wizards before being traded on draft night to the Houston Rockets.
