According to Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel, the Orlando Magic did not extend a qualifying offer to second year forward DeQuan Jones, meaning he will become an unrestricted free agent.

Jones, who signed with the Magic as an undrafted free agent, averaged 3.7 points and 1.7 rebounds per game in 63 games last season.

Jones will still play for Orlando’s summer league team and can be re-signed if both sides come to an agreement.

That stinks. I like DQ, I hope they bring him back.
