Magic in Process of Buying Hedo Out

In other news, the Earth rotates and Hedo Turkoglu’s lack of pizza consumption is destroying the pizza industry in Orlando. Even though it’s been reported and assumed for months, since Hedo’s 20-game PEDs suspension to be honest, Yahoo! Sport’s Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that Orlando is in the process of buying out the final year of Hedo’s contract. That would make ‘Turk’ an unrestricted free agent if any other franchise were to request his services.

But as the Orlando Sentinel’s Josh Robbins clarifies in this tweet, no buyout is imminent. The 34-year-old Turkish demigod is scheduled to make $12 million in the 2013-2014 season. However, only 50% of that salary is guaranteed. That’s $6 million if no one is in a thinking mood. ‘Woj’ is reporting Orlando is trying to decrease that six million figure even more. This buyout will occur, it’s just a matter of when and the dollar sum at this point. Stay tuned.
