Media Day Interviews – Part II
Wait, why are Glen Davis and Victor Oladipo not considered ‘core’ guys from part one? Put the shotguns and sniper rifles away. Oladipo I think will be a stud and he’ll be given every opportunity possible to win Rookie of the Year. However, despite the fantastic performances at Summer League and the superb charity game highlight reels of him hanging tight with established NBAers like Kevin Durant, I’m just being cautious with our #2 overall pick and how the basketball world is viewing him. Let him get through some practices and exhibitions first. ‘Orlandipo’ very well could be the starting SG or PG within a month. Who knows what goes through our decision makers’ heads.
As for Glen, well he may be a starter once he gets healthy. The problem? We don’t know when that will be. I’m also operating under the assumption that a healthy Glen after a few showcase games will be dealt to a playoff contender to fit in line with the ‘Tank Smart’ process (I just made that up). Also, Big Baby was quite depressed and that’s not like him no matter how often he’ll spout that this Magic team is a playoff squad which signifies to me that Glen doesn’t think he’ll heal all that quickly.
Big Baby may never get to talk for 15+ minutes in a Magic uniform ever again. Savor it.

Please make the final roster so I can dream of ‘Death Roe’ being stitched on the back of the jersey name plate.
Mount Dora shoutout, ya’ll. Some nice Magic fan background involved.
You’ll have to forgive me for missing out on Kyle O’Quinn’s beard, a goggle-less Jason Maxiell, a hilarious Ronnie Price, Doron Lamb, Manny Harris, and Mickell Gladness. That’s what preseason games are for.
Adam Papageorgiou runs Orlando Magic Greek and is a proud MBO contributor.
