Game Preview: Atlanta Hawks at Orlando Magic

The Orlando Magic finally snapped their losing streak with a 109-92 victory over the Detroit Pistons Friday night. The Atlanta Hawks last took the floor Saturday when they defeated the Charlotte Bobcats 118-116 in overtime, their third straight overtime game.

These two teams have met twice this season. The Hawks defeated the Magic 104-94 at home on November 9. The Magic finally were able to upend the Hawks in a 109-92 victory in Atlanta on November 26.

The Magic have fallen to 9-20 while the Hawks are 17-13.

The Magic rank 24th in offensive rating (99.2), 13th in defensive rating (102.4) and play at the league’s 14th-fastest pace (96.97). The Hawks are 10th in offensive rating (104.7), 11th in defensive rating (102.3) and play at the league’s 12th-fastest pace (97.43).

Tip-off from the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida is scheduled for 6:00 pm EST and will be shown locally on FS Florida.

  • The Hawks lost All-Star Al Horford for the season with a torn pectoral and are also without  John Jenkins (strained back/leg). Cartier Martin (sprained left ankle) and DeMarre Carroll (sprained right thumb) were listed as questionable Saturday. Carroll was held scoreless in 19 minutes while Martin did not play.
