Orlando Magic earn rare blowout victory, crushing Milwaukee
In a rarely seen moment this season, the Orlando Magic were able to turn the tables on an opponent, delivering an early knockout blow and ultimately a blowout victory. The Magic defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 113-102 on Friday night in a showdown between teams with the NBA’s two worst records.
Orlando came out on fire shooting the ball and faced little resistance from the unbelievably bad Bucks. Arron Afflalo had 14 first quarter points by himself and the team scored 35 points in the first frame – the most for Orlando in any 1st quarter this season. The team followed that up with a strong 32-point 2nd quarter to give them 67 for the half, the most in any half all season.
From that point forward, it was just maintenance of the lead and continual exposure of a group of deer in the headlights (thank you, thank you). Afflalo led the Magic with 21 points and Tobias Harris had 18. Victor Oladipo contributed with an all around performance of 15 points, 7 assists, 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
Buck up, Milwaukee – your real battle with Orlando comes on May 20th. The night of the NBA Draft Lottery.
