Game Preview: Memphis Grizzles at Orlando Magic

The Orlando Magic have won three straight games, including a win over the Eastern Conference’s best team record-wise in a 93-92 victory over the Indiana Pacers Monday night. The Memphis Grizzlies are coming off of a 92-89 win over the Washington Wizards Tuesday night.

These two teams met back on December 9 and a late Magic rally came up short and the Grizzlies held on for a 94-85 victory.

The Magic are now 16-37 while the Grizzlies are 28-23.

The Magic rank 25th in offensive rating (98.8), 17th in defensive rating (104.2) and play at the league’s 16th-fastest pace (96.20). The Grizzlies are 20th in offensive rating (102.1) 11th in defensive rating (102.3) and play at the league’s slowest pace (92.03).

Tip-off from the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida is scheduled for 7:00 pm EST and will be shown locally on FS Florida.

  • Mike Conley (sprained right ankle) is out.
  • Orlando native Nick Calathes (Lake Howell) has done a nice job filling in for Conley.
  • Another player with Orlando ties, Courtney Lee, has played well since being dealt to Memphis.
  • Tony Allen (hand fracture) is out indefintiely, Quincy Pondexter (stress fracture in right foot) is out for the season and another former Magic player, Mike Miller, left Tuesday’s game with a leg injury.
