Video: Trey Burke drains game winner to beat Orlando Magic

Coming into Utah riding a seven game losing streak, the Orlando Magic sat two seconds away from snapping the streak and securing a victory. Trey Burke had other ideas. With 1.6 seconds left rookie Trey Burke, who was starring in the NCAA Tournament this time last year, sunk a game-winning corner three pointer to give the Utah Jazz a 89-88 victory over the Orlando Magic.

Orlando was led by Victor Oladipo’s 19 points, who once again started at PG for the banged up Jameer Nelson. It was the 39th game that Victor has started this year. Arron Afflalo had 18 points and a team high six assists, while Nik Vucevic put up 16 points and 13 rebounds in 43 minutes.

For the Magic, it was a similar story that they’ve seen on the road all year. The young team just simply can’t finish games. While Burke hit a great, tough shot, it’s tough to measure any sort of progress when Orlando let’s games like this slip away. Up three points with 19 seconds left, they gave up a layup and then up two with 11 seconds left they gave up the Burke three.

Orlando owns a league worst 4-33 road record. The team, while playing close games, has last eight in a row with just 12 games remaining on the year. They are back in action on Sunday night on the road against the Lakers. Tip is set for 9:30 EST.
