Grant Hill Orlando Magic ‘Legends Night’ Interview

2014 March 25
by Adam Papageorgiou

Grant Hill is ready for closure with Magic fans, and so is the Orlando organization. ‘G-Hill’ is receiving his ‘Legends Night’ honor despite only playing 200 regular season and 4 playoff games in his 7-year tenure. For what it’s worth, the current basketball commentator provided an outstanding interview as G-Hill reflected back on his playing past. From believing that Tim Duncan to Orlando back in the summer of 2000 was a “done deal”, to confirming that he would’ve been more than happy to re-sign with the Magic in 2007 if not for upper management nudging him out the door so that Dwight Howard and Jameer Nelson would accept more responsibilities. It’s a must-watch for Magic fans.

UPDATE: Magic fans gave G-Hill some soft applause in between the 1st and 2nd quarter. No boos, but not a loud reception. Fair.

Pleasantly surprised to hear the lack of boos from the stands. Just goes to show you that the boo-birds always talk a big game, but don’t put their money where their mouths are in the end.
