2014 Orlando Pro Summer League Dates Announced
The Orlando Pro Summer League will continue it’s minor expansion in the upcoming 2014 series, moving from six days to seven days. The new format will allow teams to avoid playing on any three consecutive days.
As first reported by the Orlando Sentinel, the 2014 edition of the Orlando Pro Summer League will run from July 5th through the 11th and will feature 10 teams. While the event is always closed to the public, all games are televised on NBA TV.
For the Magic, Rob Hennigan has already stated that Victor Oladipo will participate in Summer League and former 2nd round pick Romero Osby also will be joining the team. In addition, the Magic will have two lottery picks in the upcoming draft which will be get their first action with the team. In his first action at the point guard position, Oladipo led the team in scoring last summer with 19 ppg, 5 apg and 4.8 turnovers per game.
Last summer, despite having a large chunk of their regular roster playing in the league, the team finished 8th out of the 10 teams in the unique scoring system which included rewarding teams for quarters won.
