Magic Join Nik Vucevic’s Cause and Donate to Balkan Floods Relief Aid
Serbia as well as Bosnia and Herzegovina – the two Western Balkan countries - have recently been hit by the worst floods scene in that area in the last 120 years. An outpouring of resources from various countries and public figures around the globe is underway. The Orlando Magic joins center Nikola Vucevic in his efforts to raise funds for flood victims. Both countries neighbor Vucevic’s home country of Montenegro. The Magic organization are donating $5,000 to the Red Cross. Vucevic will also be making a donation to the Red Cross to assist in the cause.
“It is during times like these we must all band together to help others,” said Magic center Nikola Vucevic. “I thank the Magic for their support in these efforts.”
“The Orlando Magic support Nik and those around the globe through this difficult time,” said Magic CEO Alex Martins. “We encourage others to lend a hand to those in need through the Red Cross.”
“The humanitarian spirit displayed by Magic player Nikola Vucevic, and in turn the Orlando Magic, is a great example of joining forces to alleviate human suffering, which is the mission of the Red Cross,” says American Red Cross Mid-Florida Region CEO Karen Hagan. “The donations made to the Red Cross help us reach people in need down the street and around the world.”
Vucevic and the Magic encourage others to make a donation to the Red Cross at http://www.redcross.org/cm/orlandomagic-pub so those funds may be sent directly to the victims impacted by the mass flooding.
