Orlando Magic ‘seriously looking’ at Noah Vonleh, hosting Aaron Gordon
As the draft nears, more rumors surrounding the Orlando Magic continue to surface. The latest is their interest in former Indiana Hoosiers’ big man Noah Vonleh and former Arizona Wildcats’ power forward Aaron Gordon.
Chad Ford of ESPN.com reports the Magic are seriously considering taking Vonleh with the fourth-overall pick.
This might be a dream scenario for the Jazz. While Exum could go to the Bucks, Sixers or Magic (in fact, those are the only teams for whom he’s scheduled to work out), there is also a chance he slides. The Bucks and Sixers both have players higher than him on their boards (though workouts might change that), and the Magic are seriously looking at Vonleh at 4.
Vonleh averaged 11.3 points, 9.0 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game last season.
Gordon, through his Slam Online draft diary, confirmed a visit to Orlando.
I’m back at P3, working out now. I have a big week planned. I’m headed out to Boston to workout for the Celtics. From there, I’m going straight to Orlando. Then, I’m playing it by ear. If any team wants to bring me back, I’m there. That’s the grind.”
Gordon averaged 12.1 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game last season.
