With Australian point guard Dante Exum on the board, many believed the Orlando Magic would sprint to the podium to make him the fourth-overall selection.

Instead, the the Magic surprised everyone by selecting former Arizona Wildcats’ power forward Aaron Gordon. Gordon is a fantastic athlete and should be a very good defender in the NBA.

He is a very poor offensive player, averaging 12.1 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game shooting 49.5% from the field, 35.6% from beyond the arc and 42.2% from the free throw line in is only year with the Wildcats. His poor shooting means he will be a work in process and it will certainly be some time before he becomes a solid NBA player, if that happens.
